Junjie Huang is the founder, sommelier and wine buyer of Lajiaoyou Vitality, an independent restaurant in Guiyang, China. He has been buying wine independently for eight years — a skill he learned at his family's side long before he built lists of his own. He holds the CAFA Certified Sommelier (Level 2) and Wine Lecturer (Level 1) qualifications, and the World Brandy Sommelier certification. His sixty-label, eight-country list is built for the spicy, fermented flavours of Guizhou cuisine, and he tests every pairing — sometimes against street food. He also serves as a regional judge for the GANLAN 100 restaurant awards.
