Leone de Castris is a historic winery founded in 1665 in Salice Salentino, Puglia. It became famous in 1943 with the launch of Five Roses, the first rosé wine bottled in Italy. The winery focuses on native grapes like Negroamaro and Primitivo, producing around 2.5 million bottles per year and exporting to over 40 countries. It also offers wine tourism experiences and accommodations at the Wine Hotel Villa Donna Lisa.
